He asked us to join him through the inspection so understanding the findings of the entire inspection was easier to grasp. I appreciated the common sense approach and how he explained any deficiencies. I am looking at selling my home and being a single mom wasn't sure what I needed to do or what to think about fixing before listing my house. A friend suggested contacing a home inspector and being the modern gal I am I googled it and booked the inspection. Larry was able to tell me exactly what was covered in an inspection, the cost and how a pre-sell inspection would benefit me before selling. I went ahead with it and I never realized that we needed to inspect so much stuff inside and out !! Larry was really helpful  in explaining what he was checking and if things were safe and working properly. I ended up with recommendations to have a heating contractor clean and replace the flexible dryer vent hose and adding soil/ fill beside one outside wall to keep water from collecting and possibly leaking into my basement.

Hi, I hired Larry at "All about Home Inspections" to inspect a home built in the mid 60's that I am looking at buying. He was recommended to me by a good friend who had him do and inspection last year. I am out of town a lot and was not able to be there when he done it, but he called me from the inspection and explained what he had found and what the items were that he recommended to be addressed. The biggest item was the furnace which appeared to be original but was still working satisfactory. It was recorded as a deferred cost to be considered sometime in the near future as it had exceeded its life expectancy. He said the windows throughout the house had been changed to a dual pane vinyl construction and above average home maintenance was apperant which was positive. The eave gutters needed to be cleaned, and a piece of flashing at the chimmney needed to be re-fastened. He recommended having GFCI's installed by an electrican to ensure saftey in the kitchen and bath areas where water is present. I didn't realize that a home inspection covered as many aspects until I looked at his report and pic's that he emailed me that day. I was impressed with his process and how he took time and explained everything. I appreciate good service.!!
